Divine Direction – Faith To Start

Hey hey hey (think Fat Albert…I loved that cartoon as a kid)! Man, I love my church!  It fills my tank back up from the week of the world that can sometimes empty that tank and really gets me thinking.  I had a very rough week, but God has kept me afloat (albeit knots in my stomach) and continues to put scripture and people of faith in my life that remind me that His love is real and endures all.   Even though I have been a born again Christian since I was 13 years old,  I haven’t grasped the true power and love of God, well into my adulthood.  I…

    You never know…

Always, always remember you never know what someone else is going through. How many times a day do people say hey, how are you and it’s just something to say? How would people react if we answered honestly? How many people do we talk to really care about us and our well being? Would we be considered a pessimist or labeled as being a depressed person if our season of sad went on too long? Would people want to be around that person? As I have gotten older and seen just how unkind others can be, it has made me work harder to be kind and fair to everyone I…

Divine Direction – Wisdom to Discern

Church recap…. *Man makes plans in his own heart, but God determines his steps. *Psalm 119:105 *To gain wisdom to discern, you have to- WALK – Walk with the wise and become wise, fora  companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 13:20 ASK – If any one of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault,        and it will be given to you. James 1:5 DECIDE – The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.  I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8 * Making mistakes also gains wisdom. *If scripture does not…

I got a new camera! Woot Woot!

Ever since I can remember, my dad has been carrying a camera around taking pictures of our lives and God’s beautiful creation as well as brilliant architectural structures.  His home office is now completely filled with his photography and I just love going in there and staring at the pictures time and time again!   Now that my kids are a little older, I am trying to tap into the more creative side of my brain and dabble myself .  My dad over the years has bought nicer and nicer cameras, so he has now graciously given me his Sony a65 DSLR digital camera.  I have played with it a little…

Divine Direction – Power to Become

I really enjoy going to church.  It is something that I grew up doing and it wasn’t forced down my throat, but by my parents’ examples, it was easy to follow their lead.   My relationship with God is the single most important thing in my life, yet I do not judge others that do not have the same belief system as myself.   I believe that everyone must respect differences and no one should experience shame for anything ever! That being said, the next series at our church is called Divine Direction and this past Sunday was titled Power to Become.  I plan to put the notes from each service here…

    A new home!

We built and moved into our new home in 2017 so have now been here for just over a year!  I really cannot believe it, but am excited to FINALLY share all of the projects and decor decisions along the way.  We came out strong knocking projects out lefts and right, but have been in a decorating lull for a bit now.   I hope to pick back up very soon! The first room we tackled was our office/library.  This room had the perfect nook to add some built ins.   I found my inspiration online at http://sypsie.com and away we went! So far, I am unable to find a picture of…

You’re Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile! 😊

I love the original Annie musical movie!  A smile can change the course of the day for yourself and someone else in an instant! I couldn’t agree more with this song that the one thing that makes an outfit complete is your smile. 🙂 I found a news article published by NBC News that states, “The fact is, as Dr. Isha Gupta a neurologist from IGEA Brain and Spine explains, a smile spurs a chemical reaction in the brain, releasing certain hormones including dopamine and serotonin. “Dopamine increases our feelings of happiness. Serotonin release is associated with reduced stress. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression and aggression,” says Dr. Gupta.…
